Stephanie Laborge, Registered Psychologist and Clinic Owner

My name is Stephanie Laborge, and I am a Registered Psychologist and Clinic Owner. I love working with children, and am honoured when asked to partner with families.

I specialize in the treatment of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) in children, anxiety disorders, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and learning needs, as well as conducting assessments for Autism, learning disorders, giftedness, and intellectual disabilities.

I am also the mother of three beautiful children who constantly keep me on my toes, and often serve as my motivation to continue to learn, grow, and better myself as a person and as a professional.

I received my Master of Education in School and Applied Child Psychology from the University of Calgary, followed by a Post-Graduate Certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) from Wilfrid Laurier University, with additional specific training for OCD and Exposure and Response Prevention (E/RP) through the Behaviour Therapy Training Institute and the International OCD Foundation. Additionally, I have completed training in use of the ADOS-2 and ADI-R tools for assessing Autism.

Through the Psychologists’ Association of Alberta I have also received a certificate in Clinical Supervision.


Hello! My name is Chelsea, and I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist. I am dedicated to creating a safe, compassionate, and judgment-free space where everyone’s unique voice is heard and valued.

My passion for helping children understand their distinctive learning abilities, addressing their needs, and guiding them toward realizing their dreams is what drives me. When not working, I enjoy hiking, snowboarding, camping, and exploring new places with friends and family.

Melanie Bastien, Registered Provisional Psychologist

Hello! My name is Melanie Bastien, and I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist.

My current focus is on conducting psychoeducational assessments with children and youth to explore learning, cognitive, and social emotional challenges. I strive to develop a comprehensive understanding of each child’s learning profile while also recognizing their individual strengths.

I also provide intervention for children experiencing difficulties with anxiety, emotional regulation, and attention, using a fun and engaging Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) approach.

Outside of my work, I enjoy embracing my nerdy side through video games, anime, and fantasy
novels. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you and your child!

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, a Master of Arts in Child and Youth Studies, and a Master of Science in School and Applied Child Psychology. Alongside my academic background, I have extensive experience supporting high-risk youth with complex needs within the child welfare system.


Jorden Dormer is thrilled to join Launch Psychology! With over five years of teaching experience across Canada, Thailand, and China, she brings a blend of global perspective and hands-on expertise, along with a heartfelt commitment to student well-being.

Jorden is honoured to be a part of your family’s assessment journey! She deeply values the opportunity to provide strength-based assessments, while also shedding light on any challenges a child may face. She strives to offer supportive solutions that pave the way for success. Jorden’s friendly demeanour and calm presence create a warm and welcoming environment for assessment sessions, making sure every child feels valued.

Outside of her professional commitments, Jorden is dedicated to giving back to her community through volunteering with animal rescue groups. She finds joy in outdoor pursuits, including hiking and snowboarding, cherishing moments with friends, and embracing the challenge of learning Spanish.

Her passion for helping children succeed led her to earn a Master of Education in Child Psychology, with a specialization in School Psychology, from the University of Calgary. Jorden has worked as a School Psychologist in British Columbia, where she provided personalized, compassionate support to help children thrive. She also brings valuable experience from private practice, where she conducted psychoeducational assessments and offered therapeutic services.

Ellaina Jancewicz, Counselling Student

Ellaina is passionate about supporting children and families on their mental health journeys, providing low-fee counselling sessions. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Applied Linguistics and is currently completing a Master of Counselling degree. Through her experience with Kids Help Phone, Ellaina has gained valuable insight into the challenges young people face today. Her current role as a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Calgary has deepened her commitment to building strong, trusting relationships with children and youth.

Ellaina believes that every child deserves to feel heard, understood, and supported. In her work, Ellaina strives to create a welcoming space where children can explore their emotions and grow. Her approach is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and respect for each family’s unique story. She also believes in the power of laughter and in making space for the full range of human emotions.

Outside of professional life, Ellaina enjoys hiking, travelling, trying new crafts, and spending time with her partner and their dog.
