My name is Stephanie Laborge, and I am a Registered Psychologist working with youth and their parents in the Calgary area. I love working with children, and am honoured when asked to partner with families.
I specialize in the treatment of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) in children, using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) as well as exposure and response prevention (E/RP). I also have experience treating anxiety disorders, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and learning needs.
I received my Master of Education in School and Applied Child Psychology from the University of Calgary, followed by a post-graduate certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) from Wilfrid Laurier University, with additional specific training for OCD and Exposure and Response Prevention (E/RP) through the Behaviour Therapy Training Institute and the International OCD Foundation.
In addition to being a registered child psychologist, I am also a mother of three beautiful children who constantly keep me on my toes, and often serve as my motivation to continue to learn, grow, and better myself as a person and as a professional.
Hello! My name is Chelsea, and my academic journey includes a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of British Columbia and a Master of Science Degree in School and Applied Child Psychology from the University of Calgary. These qualifications, along with my practical experience, have equipped me with specialized skills in assessment and consultation with families. I am dedicated to creating a safe, compassionate, and judgment-free space where everyone’s unique voice is heard and valued.
My passion for helping children understand their distinctive learning abilities, addressing their needs, and guiding them toward realizing their dreams is what drives me. I am currently working as a psychometrist while I wait for my Provisional Psychologist registration to be approved. This position will allow me to continue gaining valuable experience and insight. When not working, I enjoy hiking, snowboarding, camping, and exploring new places with friends and family.
